About CanadaCIS
In this CanadaCIS review, we’ll take a closer look at the Bulgaria-based immigration consultancy.
CanadaCIS, also known as Canada Citizenship Immigration Services is a private international immigration consultancy with no affiliation to the Canadian government, that specializes in immigration to Canada. Their European office is registered to “BGTECH EOOD”, and located within Bulgaria.
They also have a mailing address in Canada located at:
151 Yonge Street, 11th Floor, Toronto, Ontario, M5C 2W7.
CanadaCIS offers a wide range of services which includes permanent residency, work and study permits, as well as family sponsorship and business immigration programs. They can assist with IELTS preparation and registration, along with converting your CV to that of the Canadian job market standard. As they also have a dedicated Career Advisor, which means that they are able to offer a market preparation service as well as assistance with actual job searches.
CanadaCIS works with Jean-Patrice Meunier, who is a Lawyer and member of the Law Society of Ontario (LSO Number: 63777E). This can be checked and confirmed via the official website of the Law Society of Ontario. Where CanadaCIS does confirm to work with regulated and certified immigration consultants, they unfortunately do not provide any details on the relative RCICs.
Website & Services
Upon landing on the homepage of the CanadaCIS website, we find that it is neat, easy on the eye and makes good usage of its header and footer. The site is simple to navigate and provides an abundance of practical information.
The website is owned and operated by BGTECH EOOD, and offers the option of accessing the site in either English or Italian. The home page is quite functional and provides information which includes their services, legal team, contact details and even some useful articles which can be found under the Blog tab. They also have a section regarding their client Testimonials, FAQs and pricing plans which can be found when hitting the About Us tab.
As we scroll down to the footer of the page, we find more important information such as their Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions as well as their various payment options.
Social Media
The CanadaCIS website does provide direct links to its social media platforms. Where this does not immediately catch our eye on the header of the home page, it can be seen once scrolled down to the footer. These include their Facebook, Instagram and YouTube pages.
CanadaCIS has a very modest following when compared to other, more well-established immigration consultancies. They have a Facebook following of 21,692 people, with 20,613 likes. Whilst they do not post daily content, they are fairly active across their social media platforms with new activity occurring every few days or so. CanadaCIS also has a Twitter page however, it is not linked on their website and there has not been any activity since around March 2021.
When checking the online reviews and reputation of CanadaCIS, we find that they are both good and bad. They have claimed their Trustpilot page which boasts an excellent score rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars, with a total of 767 reviews however, when checking their Google My Business page it certainly projects the opposite with reviewers all claiming the business to be a scam. These reviews are much more recent and relative. The website has also been voted to be a scam on Scamadviser.
Conclusion
The conclusion of this CanadaCIS review is that the consultancy looks to be both legit and a scam. While they are able to provide information on their main Lawyer, they unfortunately do not provide any details on the rest of the business providers that they work with. Their fees are quite average and you would need to pay to register, and the available online reviews certainly contradict each other when checking any applicable review platforms other than Trustpilot. Due to this, we'd recommend treading carefully.
